Inclusive Community Iftar

A moment of connection, solidarity, and remembrance of who we are and what brings us together.

We hosted a gathering during the holy month of Ramadan so that we could break bread and break fast together. In both North African/Arab and Latin American cultures, food carries deep meaning. Whether it’s your teta’s cooking or your abuela’s favourite family dish, food is one of the most powerful ways we create and sustain community.

Ramadan is the month when Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, and Iftar is the time of day when Muslims break the fast together with dates and water, followed by a meal.
